Marcia Van Wagner - Glenn was such a great colleague and semi-friend - so smart and compassionate and with a great sense of humor.

Lynn and Craig - We are seriously saddened by the news of the passing of such long time and dear friend. We have very fond memories of Glenn and your entire family.

Franz Leichter - He put up such a courageous fight against his brain tumor for some years remaining active and continuing to work. Margaret was such a supporting partner.

He worked for me for for close to 15 years. I was so fortunate to have him. He did so many good reports and investigations, including how we were able to reveal the reemergence of sweatshops. He was invariably positive. I considered him a colleague and friend.
He will be missed.

Joshua Rubin - I feel I learned so much from Glenn in the short time we worked together, a certain angle or take on government, money, and politics that I always felt bonded me to you and Glenn and the other Leichter alums. He loved figuring out something the bad guys were up to that no one else could see.

Madge Nimocks - I feel privileged that I was able to know Glenn over these years. I was just telling a friend a few days ago about how we really connected within our adoption group from the very beginning. Such wonderful memories. The words that come to me when I think of Glenn are kind, genuine, softly witty, and gentle. (Not to mention SMART) Although I didn't know that much about his work, it was always clear that he was helping make the world a better place. He also seemed like the perfect dad - and husband.

Blair Horner - As you may know, I first met Glenn in 1984 when he was working for Franz. He and I discussed issues of tax reform and banking services. I was struck then -- and always -- about his smarts, work ethic, commitment, and good humor.

I worked with him on and off as he moved through Mark Green's shop, the Comptroller's office, the Trial Lawyers, and most recently as a consultant.

I always enjoyed the time I spent working with him and his passing creates a huge hole in the mission to achieve a more just society.

John S. Berman - Glenn was a consummate professional with tremendous integrity from whom I learned a great deal. I am grateful I had the opportunity to work with him and to know him.

Gayle Horwitz - Glenn was the consummate professional and a completely dedicated public servant. He will surely be missed.

Frank Braconi - We all know that Glenn was a kind, funny, humble person and a pleasure to work with. I'll add, though, as a person who basically made a career out of writing reports, Glenn was the only report writer I ever ran into who I was in awe of. What a combination of intelligence and dedication!

Laurel Eisner - Glenn was unlike anyone I know, in his brilliant and creative ideas, and the capacity to follow through and produce work of lasting value. No one else in the Public Advocate’s office in those years came anywhere near his energy, focus and impact. He was the single largest contributor of ideas and reports produced by Mark’s office over those 8 years. I read most if not all of the reports before the final went out, and kept a list for posterity. I think I have it still in a file at home. I also sent copies of all of the reports to the Municipal Reference Library and I hope they still reside there in the archives and the card catalogue.

Perhaps above all, Glenn was one of the nicest, kindest, and most unassuming member of the Green team. I remember most of all the many conversations with him about your plan to adopt a child from China, and his regular reports on Claudia’s arrival and her growth and development. Those were very special and tender conversations and I was very touched by his open and loving way of talking about the process, and the enormous joy she brought to you both.
